Our Great Confession

In 1 Timothy 3:15, the Apostle Paul tells Timothy that he is writing so that "you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth." Because of the great truth given to the church to confess, the church should be served by godly leadership. In 1 Timothy 3, Paul defines this truth and gives the qualifications for those serving as elders/overseers and as deacons/ministers.
