Directing the Heart

The heart is mentioned often in Proverbs. We are told
to incline it, to guard it, and to apply it. We are instructed to let it do certain things and to
not let it do other things. In all of Proverbs, we are never told to follow our hearts. Rather,
we are told, very specifically and clearly, to direct our hearts.
