Congregational Prayer

A little over four years ago our congregation, following the lead of our elders, began walking an intentional multi-year path of transition. One of the key elements of this transition was the identification of our next senior pastor. God faithfully and graciously led us to appoint Ashley Brown as our Senior Pastor – Elect. This past July Ashley officially stepped into the role of Senior Pastor of Wasilla Bible Church. Our congregational prayer during this Sunday's three services was focused on affirming God's gifting, training and placement of Ashley and commending him to the work of Senior Pastor, asking for God's provision and effectiveness in the work to be done. At each of the services today our elders laid hands on Ashley and Sarah and led our congregation in prayers covering the topics below:

1. • Thanksgiving for God’s provision and preparation of Ashley for this time in this role
2. • A petition for continued personal soul satisfaction and joy in our Lord and his word
3. • Protection (physical, emotional, and spiritual) for Ashley and his family
4. • Wisdom as our lead shepherd, including a godly discernment of priorities
5. • A thriving family life and marriage
6. • An encouraging and true relationship with our fellowship of elders
7. • An eternal effectiveness and productivity through his work, for the glory of Jesus and his kingdom.
