Ephesians 1

In the opening chapter of his letter to the Christians in Ephesus, Paul reminds them of their identity and inheritance in Jesus, God’s Anointed King. Everyone whose identity is rooted in Jesus has been chosen for adoption as a child of God. As a result, they have a rich inheritance God intends to lavish upon them. In fact, the greatness of God’s goodness toward us in Christ is so grand that it requires the Holy Spirit’s wisdom to understand.
