Psalm 2 (Jesus Is Lord)

In Psalm 2, despite opposition, the LORD enthrones his anointed, whom he calls "my Son," as King over all the nations. In Acts 13:33 and Romans 1:4, Paul speaks of Jesus’ resurrection as His coronation, quoting from and alluding to this psalm. Psalm 2 comes with both a blessing and a warning: a warning to those who reject God's King, but a blessing to all who take refuge in Him.

This setting of Psalm 2, which borrows language also from the book of Acts, was a collaborative effort by various members of our Worship Ministry.

This recording features Joel Stamoolis on vocals and guitar, Anne-Renee Gumley on vocals and piano, Dale Tumey on flute, Dennis DeWinter on bass guitar, and Igor Galloway on drums.
