Job’s three friends, who came to be with him in his grief, speak a whole host of “windy words” and prove to be miserable comforters to him in his grief (Job 16:2-3). Today we will consider how NOT to weep with those who weep as we seek to point others to the only hope that remains amidst life’s brokenness. Today’s passage surveys the responses of Job’s companions.
