Guard the Gospel

The Apostle Paul wrote 1 & 2 Timothy to encourage and provide guidance to his protégé, as Timothy was entrusted with guarding and faithfully passing on the deposit of the gospel – the good news about Jesus. As part of this guidance, Paul outlines “blueprints” for Christian life in the local church, which is the pillar and buttress of the truth. Today’s passage is 1 Timothy 1:1-7.
