The Holy Spirit gifts us with abilities and gives us joy as we use our gifts. The process of creating and playing God-honoring music with Christian brothers and sisters is in this way a fruit of the Spirit. It is a joyful experience that honors God by using the gifts that He has given us. It’s just plain fun. Maybe that’s why we call it “playing”.
