Hallelujah means “praise the Lord”. It is an expression of gratitude to our God. Living on the hallelujah side suggests daily thanking the Heavenly Father for His mercy, and Jesus for His grace. We have not been given punishment for our sins but have been given forgiveness. The beautiful poetic phrase “I’ve opened up toward heaven all the windows of my soul” says we’re allowing the Holy Spirit to permeate every aspect of ourselves. What a lovely expression of repentance, gratitude, and submission.—Tom and Leila
