A Generous Master and King

On His way to Jerusalem for the final time, Jesus tells a parable about a generous master hiring laborers to work in his vineyard. This parable tells us what the Kingdom of Heaven is like by telling us about the character of the King. Jesus is a King who is scandalously generous, and His is a Kingdom where the last will be first and the first last.
