Authority of the Son of David

When He entered Jerusalem, Jesus was hailed as the Son of David, a title identifying Jesus as the rightful king of Israel, anointed by God to reign over His people. But when He arrived, Jesus pronounced judgment on much of the outer trappings of what Israel's Temple worship had become. In doing so, Jesus demonstrated that, as the Son of David, He alone holds the authority to pronounce judgment on God's people.
