This piece, by the French-Syrian bassist François Rabbath, was inspired by seeing Lake Retba, a rose-colored desert lake in Senegal. In the middle of what can look like a barren land, there is striking beauty to be seen. This is also true spiritually. Just as God shepherded Israel through the wilderness and ministered to Jesus in the wilderness, likewise when we follow Jesus into what may feel like a barren or difficult place, there is grace to be experienced, beauty to be seen.
