If We're Honest

performed by Amber and Abigail Randall    written by Francesca Battistelli

Since I became a Christian, the time leading up to Easter became a sobering one. Through the years I’ve learned to practice a time of examining my heart and allowing the sacrifice Christ made for me to deeply sink in. It can be easy to let some sins remain hidden inside, tucked in the dark places no one can see, even ourselves. When we are honest with ourselves and with Christ and choose to bring ALL our brokenness to the cross, we encounter ALL the mercy and love wrapped in Christ’s act of obedience.
In the day to day busyness and even the security of my salvation, I never want
to take what Jesus did on that cross for granted. We hope this will be a remembrance of the undeserved privilege we have in Jesus.
