From Tom: A beautiful record of devotion to Jesus is found in Luke 7:36-50. After being rebuffed by his host, a Pharisee, one of Jesus’ beloved followers humbly washed His feet with her tears and anointed His feet with perfume. A well-known or notorious sinner, this woman knew she had much sin in need of forgiveness. Jesus proclaimed that her great love came from having been forgiven much. We remember her quiet yet extreme devotion 2000 years later. This song implores us to follow her example: to love Jesus for who He is, King of Kings, and for His great love and sacrifice. Forget about our appearance or impression others may have. Let’s follow Him with complete surrender.
